The Verde Valley Archaeology Center and Museum hosts a variety of exhibits from the ancient Verde Valley. Exhibits include: The Sinagua Indians that lived in Palatki, Montezuma's Castle, Montezuma's Well and few other sites. There are also displays on the Yavapai-Apache who still reside in the area. There are displays of the Paleo-Indian big-game hunters and evidence of the presence of mega-fauna, such as mammoth, camel and giant sloth.

No matter what the weather is, stop in Udderly Divine for some good old fashioned ice cream, homemade soup, pies and sandwiches. This shop is located in one of the oldest buildings in Camp Verde. This building was home to the ranchers and Soldiers of Fort Verde's variety store. You could get a cigar for $1.00, champagne for $2.50 a bottle or a pair of boots for $10.00. It is also the site of the infamous shooting of one of the store owners Clint Wingfield, by Blackjack Ketchum. Now you can get a darn good lunch.
