Devil's Bridge is one of the most popular hikes in Sedona. So if you are looking for quiet solitude, you won't find it here.
It is about 1 mile to the arch from the Devil's Bridge parking area. But to reach that parking area you'll need a high clearance vehicle. There are alternate ways to reach Devil's Bridge.
You'll climb some 400 feet but the view of the arch is well worth the climb. The trail splits about ¾ miles up. The right trail goes to the top of the arch and the left trail goes beneath the arch. You'll be climbing up, then on the way back, down some steep natural stone steps (with no hand rails) so if you have a fear of heights, or the trail is wet or icy, you will want to be extra careful on this hike.
NOTE: Sedona hiking trails can change because of weather, Forest Service activity or other causes. For the latest trail description and alternate ways to reach Devil's Bridge, go to GreatSedonaHikes.com, or purchase a copy of Great Sedona Hikes hiking guide available here.
