The Four Eight Wineworks Tasting Room is located in Arizona’s first planned community, Historic Clarkdale Arizona and is situated on Main Street where “The Bank of Arizona” originally stood. This magical little town has a wealth of history, and we value that historical charm. When arriving at our tasting room guests step back in time to an era of roaring music, miners and railroad workers epitomizing the industrious American spirit and notorious bank robbers. From the re-purposed railroad-tie furniture to our retail station inside the bank’s vault and the original teller-station on display, Four Eight promises to fuse the modern and nostalgic. We highlight Clarkdale’s rich past while saluting the future of Arizona’s enterprising winemakers.
As Northern Arizona’s winemaker’s cooperative, Four Eight is designed to be an incubator for up-and-coming winemakers, a passion vortex if you will. We currently represent three of Arizona’s most talented new winemakers. Tim White of Iniquus Cellars produces wines that have so much to say, yet leave our guests speechless. Michael Pierce of Saeculum Cellars sends us straight back to the old world with his unique stylistic approach. Maynard James Keenan of Four Eight Wineworks, Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards and the Kindred Project is the architect behind the ambitious and supportive endeavor that is Four Eight Wineworks.
Come visit our tasting room where you can sample the art of each of these fantastic winemakers, along with a great local and craft beer selection in a cozy, sophisticated, speakeasy atmosphere seven days a week. We look forward to introducing Arizona’s emerging winemaking talent to the Arizona wine world and to every guest who visits.
