Wet Beaver Creek Day Use Area is located just a couple of miles from the intersection of Interstate 17 and Highway 179. It is a great area for hiking, swimming, mountain biking and picnicking. There is a trail that first passes through private property and then leads to many different swimming holes on the creek. The area surrounding the creek is an important riparian ecosystem where visitors can find large cottonwoods, sycamores and Gooding's willow trees. The creek itself is made up of slick red rock perfect for going for a swim. The trailhead has a standard forest service pit toilet and no trash service so please follow Leave No Trace Ethics "pack it in, pack it out". Further down forest service road 618 there is a forest service campground as well as a pull out parking/day use and picnic area.
